RWDI is pleased to share that our headquarters in Guelph, Ontario, Canada has achieved LEED v4.1 Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance (O+M) Gold recertification.
Awarded by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI), LEED O+M focuses on the ongoing performance of existing buildings, measuring outcomes across categories such as energy, water, waste, transportation, indoor environmental quality, and occupant experience. Recertification allows that performance to be measured over time, helping identify both areas of strong performance and opportunities for improvement.
As we continue to help our clients achieve their own sustainability goals, we believe in leading by example. This achievement reflects our commitment to applying those same principles to the operation and performance of our own workplace.
Highlights from our LEED Gold recertification
Our headquarters demonstrated strong performance across several areas of the certification. In particular, our performance in water efficiency and management stood out, significantly exceeding the category average.
Achieving recertification was a collaborative effort, requiring building performance data, operational information, documentation, and participation from people across RWDI.
Beyond recognizing what we’ve achieved, this recertification helps us understand where our headquarters is performing well and where we can continue to improve, supporting our broader commitment to advancing climate and performance outcomes for our clients and communities.
Congratulations to everyone who contributed to achieving LEED Gold recertification.
