The University of Pennsylvania Health System building at 3600 Civic Center Boulevard in Philadelphia is clad in horizontal ribbon windows between precast concrete panels with areas of unitized curtain wall accent. RWDI worked with the architect providing design support from schematics through construction administration. Our suite of services aided in the development of a new health center that realizes the designer’s facade vision – including a green roof – while also affirming that exhaust dispersion and falling ice & snow will not hinder human safety. With RWDI’s support, the building is being constructed with both an aesthetically pleasing facade and a design that upholds safety requirements.
