Thameslink Programme – London Bridge Station

Noise, vibration, and dust monitoring for an extensive transportation upgrade project

Noise, vibration, and dust monitoring for an extensive transportation upgrade project

The Thameslink Programme, at a value of £6 billion, was a project in south-east England to expand and upgrade the Thameslink rail network. It included the redevelopment of London Bridge Station to provide additional platforms, new canopies, and a street level retail concourse. Our client needed to ensure that noise, vibration, and dust would be managed in accordance with regulatory requirements and project specifications. We designed, specified, and implemented continuous noise, vibration, and dust monitoring during 24/7 site activity over a period of 7 years. These efforts ensured that noise, vibration, and dust were managed at acceptable levels, enabling construction to continue on schedule until completed.
