An air quality assessment for a new hospital plant
We prepared an air quality assessment of the impacts associated with a new plant for the heating system at the St. Helier Hospital, which serves the London borough of Sutton. Our team of experts undertook a detailed assessment of the operational impacts associated with heating system equipment, employed dispersion modelling software to predict the contribution of NO2 at local receptors on air quality, and analyzed the effects of low-NOX boilers and the new CHP on on-site NOX emissions to reveal air quality impacts at on- and off-site receptors. Our assessment incorporated embedded mitigation within the energy plant scheme to minimize impacts on local air quality at ground level.
