Creating acoustic separation within an immersive museum

The Shroud of Turin: An Immersive Experience brings visitors into a fully enveloping audiovisual journey through a series of interconnected theatres at the Christ Cathedral campus in Garden Grove, California. With multiple immersive films running at the same time, careful sound control was essential to maintain the integrity of each experience. RWDI supported the project by developing acoustic solutions that limit sound transfer between theatres while accommodating constant visitor movement and frequent door operation. This approach helped create an environment where each space remains acoustically distinct, allowing guests to stay fully immersed without distraction as they move through the museum.
