Port Baku Tower 2

A tall tower with a unique shape in a windy locale presented a critical need for wind tunnel testing

Port Baku Tower 2 is a 167m tower in Azerbaijan’s capital, known for its curving glass façade and prominent presence in the city’s skyline. Completed in 2022, the 36-storey development add 135,000 square meters of high-end office and retail space to Baku’s growing business district. Given the city’s famously windy climate, RWDI was brought on to help optimize the tower’s structural and façade design for resilience and comfort, supporting the successful delivery of one of Baku’s most ambitious architectural statements.
