One World Trade Center

A lasting symbol of resilience shaping the New York City skyline

A lasting symbol of resilience shaping the New York City skyline

One World Trade Center in New York City stands as the tallest building in the United States, rising 541 metres (1,776 feet) above Lower Manhattan as a defining symbol of resilience and renewal. As the centerpiece of the rebuilt World Trade Center site, the tower combines advanced engineering with a powerful civic and cultural presence, while serving as a LEED Gold certified workplace and a world-class hub for innovation. RWDI supported the project through wind engineering and environmental performance consulting, helping the design team address the demands of a supertall structure at this scale. Our work contributed to design strategies that enhance structural reliability and occupant comfort, supporting a secure and high-performing environment. The result is a landmark building that not only reshapes the skyline but is a lasting symbol of New York City’s enduring spirit.
