Pedestrian and occupant comfort for Malta's landmark residential building

Pedestrian and occupant comfort for Malta’s landmark residential building

At 33 storeys, Mercury Towers by Zaha Hadid Architects is Malta’s tallest residential building and a standout addition to the skyline. The tower’s sculptural twist midway through its profile makes it one of the region’s most visually striking developments. Designed as a mixed-use destination with residential, retail, and hotel spaces, the project is celebrated as one of the final works of the late Zaha Hadid. Given its bold architectural form and height relative to its surroundings, the development required careful consideration to ensure that it would deliver a safe and comfortable environment for both pedestrians and building occupants.
