A noise and air quality occupational hygiene assessment for regulatory compliance

A noise and air quality occupational hygiene assessment for regulatory compliance

Our client – an equipment manufacturer producing plastic moulding, flat channel ducting, and PVC and aluminum foil ducting – required an occupational hygiene assessment to measure employee exposure to particulate matter, volatile organic compounds, and noise during workplace activities. We undertook an occupational hygiene survey to assess airborne contaminants at the premises, demonstrate compliance with Health and Safety Executive Workplace Exposure Limits, and develop mitigation measures where needed. We assessed occupational noise exposures within the main production area, identified key activities with respect to employees’ exposure, and selected representative employees in each main work area to fit with personal monitoring equipment during part of their shift.
