As part of Phase 1 of the UK’s new high-speed rail line, the C2 and C3 sections span 80 kilometers and include extensive infrastructure, from viaducts and green tunnels to bridges and road diversions. RWDI was engaged to provide expert guidance on noise, vibration, and air quality, a role that evolved into managing a large-scale environmental monitoring program. With over 80 monitors deployed and regular reporting to stakeholders and regulators, RWDI supports compliance, mitigates risk, and helps maintain the project’s momentum through sensitive areas, ensuring work proceeds efficiently and responsibly.
