Retrofitting a major convention center for LEED Gold certification

The Enercare Centre is one of North America’s largest convention facilities, spanning nearly 500,000 square feet in downtown Toronto and welcoming more than five million visitors each year. As part of a major sustainability initiative, RWDI supported the Centre’s pursuit of LEED EB:O&M certification through energy audits, water and waste reduction strategies, and operational improvements. The project achieved LEED Gold certification with 66 points, surpassing its initial target and setting a benchmark for green convention venues in Canada.
