Innovative acoustic design for a particularly challenging building complex

The new multi-building complex houses the HKSAR’s central government, including the Chief Executive, senior departments, and the Legislative Council Chamber. RWDI supported design and construction stages, focusing on challenging acoustics across the complex. Innovative solutions were applied in the nearly circular Legislative Council Chamber, the Multi-Purpose Hall with variable acoustics, and the Executive Council Chamber to ensure clear communication. Acoustic performance was maintained throughout operable walls, partitions, and natural ventilation systems, achieving all objectives upon final testing.
