Derek has developed broad expertise across a range of practice areas, including rail and transit, environmental impact assessment, construction, forensic analysis, architectural acoustics, and industrial noise and vibration. He has conducted extensive field measurements, evaluated compliance with regulatory criteria, and performed detailed noise and vibration modeling across these sectors. Derek has prepared numerous technical studies and EIR/EIS sections under both CEQA and NEPA, contributing to high-profile projects across the United States and internationally including work in São Paulo, Hong Kong, and Tel Aviv.
