Summary

Nathan has experience in a variety of noise and vibration assessments across a wide range of sectors. His extensive knowledge of construction noise and vibration assessments includes management and development at all stages of Section 61 (Control of Pollution Act 1974) applications. Nathan has worked with contractors to reduce noise and vibration emissions through BPM audits and other means of mitigation. He is experienced in calculations in accordance with BS 4142, BS 5228, CRTN, CRN and ISO 9613 using proprietary software including SoundPLAN, CadnaA and NoiseMap. Nathan has produced written chapters to be included in environmental impact assessments. He is also experienced in the measurement, analysis and prediction of ground-borne noise and vibration in accordance with guidance including BS 6472 and BS 7385. Nathan has a positive working relationship with local authorities within London, the southeast and midlands. He has extensive knowledge of the planning processes associated with residential and commercial/industrial planning applications, including expert witness experience. Nathan graduated with distinction with a Master of Science in Environmental and Architectural Acoustics and was awarded the RBA Prize for Environmental Acoustics for his thesis focusing on subjective response to high-speed rail noise.
