Air quality and dust control support for a large copper and zinc mine

RWDI has worked with Antamina Mines in the Peruvian Andes since 2010, providing air quality modeling in support of the Environmental Assessment for this top-tier producer – the seventh largest copper mine in the world. A subsequent project was awarded to complete a comprehensive review of the extensive air quality and meteorological monitoring program at the site. Our staff performed an on-site assessment and helped Antamina develop effective control measures to reduce air quality impacts – especially dust – related to the movement of some 450,000 tonnes of ore per year.
