Nicklaus Children’s Hospital – Kenneth C. Griffin Surgical Tower

A suite of services in support of an award-winning project

The Kenneth C. Griffin Surgical Tower in Miami, Florida, is a replacement and expansion of the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital’s existing surgical unit and support services. The project supports a multiphase masterplan promoting campus modernization, resiliency, and sustainability. The building is a five-story vertical expansion of an existing single story Emergency Department. The new tower enables the hospital to have state-of-the-art operating suites that accommodate the latest equipment and surgical teams. The new structure will also offer spacious and private pre- and post-surgical care spaces for the children and families that they serve. RWDI provided a suite of services in support of this AIA Miami award-winning project.
