The climate has changed. How can we, as design professionals, building owners and managers plan for buildings and structures that are resilient to these changing climate patterns?
The first step is to understand the future climate impacts at your project site. Next is to assess the risk of these phenomena and plan to mitigate. This design thinking is being increasingly considered in mandated policies (i.e. Climate Lens) and private risk aversion. We will discuss real-world experiences and applications of these principles across large portfolios of buildings as well as deep dive building case studies.
