Du brings a unique blend of technical knowledge to RWDI’s Building Performance and Wind Engineering teams. He graduated from Tsinghua University with an Engineering Bachelor degree and obtained his Master degree from Peking University. He received his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from McGill University. His capabilities range from using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and advanced modeling tools for fluid mechanics to conducting wind tunnel testing for cladding and structural wind loads on tall buildings and long-span roofs. This wide range of expertise make him a uniquely versatile and insightful consultant to RWDI’s clients around the world. Du has played leadership roles in RWDI’s operations in both Canada and Asia, and has led Wind Engineering terms in the design and construction of some of the tallest buildings in China.
