Resiliency has become an urgent issue for designers, owners and managers responsible for the safekeeping of their buildings and the wellbeing of occupants. This session provides an overview of future climate forecasting models and a climate resilience assessment tool for identifying areas of vulnerability to changing climate conditions. Strategies to incorporate into building design from an operational perspective, with regards to building systems, education, resilient systems, resourcefulness, recovery and adaptability will be discussed.
