RWDI Announces Latest LEED Gold Certification

RWDI is pleased to share that our 4,767 sq. ft. Portland, Oregon office has been awarded LEED® Gold certification for LEED v4 ID+C: Commercial Interiors. This is the second LEED® Gold certification for RWDI offices.

Thanks to the hard work and dedication of our internal sustainability consultants and commissioning team, we realized several office space efficiencies throughout the course of the project.

RWDI’s project team was able to achieve certification by focusing on:

• installing Energy Star certified appliances & equipment;
• implementing water usage reduction strategies such as low flush and flow plumbing fixtures;
• implementing responsive lighting strategies, such as occupancy sensors and daylight responsive controls;
• prioritizing responsibly sourced, low emitting materials and products, including those with recycled content;
• implementing waste prevention and reduction strategies;
• improving air quality;
• enhancing thermal comfort controls throughout the office; and
• implementing a green cleaning policy.

RWDI has valued sustainability throughout our decades-long company history, and this achievement is part of our ongoing efforts to invest in and implement policies and systems that will reduce our corporate environmental footprint while working to achieve our sustainability goals.
